• Is this be suitable for a dog which  keeps having stomach issues such as diarrhea? 

Digestion and Stomach & Bowel Support often help the gastrointestinal tract settle down in circumstances like this. They can be purchased as a bundle for a saving here. It is important however, that your vet determines the underlying cause of the problem, so that the most appropriate veterinary treatment can be provided and re-occurrences prevented. 

 

• Does the Digestion mix contain probiotics or do I need to feed alongside?

Digestion is a prebiotic mix which increases the benefits of any chose probiotic. If probiotics are required, we suggest using these alongside Digestion  -Bio-Kult capsules. This provides a rich source of friendly gut flora to boost the gut microbiome, while Digestion supplies the fuel they need to thrive and populate the bowels. 

 

• Would this assist with eosinophilic enteritis? 

Digestion helps to support the development of a strong, healthy gut microbiome, which in turn has a positive effect on many aspects of gastrointestinal health. For even greater benefits give a good probiotic such as Bio-Kult 30 at the same time.  

 

• Would this product help to relieve skin allergies ? 

If you've seen an improvement by changing to a whole food diet but still seeing some skin allergies, the next step is to add Immunity to the diet to help promote a more balanced and less reactive immune system over time. • My dog is taking a supplement for anal glands. Would I have to stop this if I gave Digestion?

There is no need to stop the supplement you are using. After using Digestion for a month, you may find, as many of our customers have done in the past, that Digestion alone is sufficient. You may also find this article of interest. 

 

• Would this be useful to help with anal gland problems?

Yes it can help anal gland problems, by supporting a healthier gut microbiome, and increasing dietary fibre in stools, to stimulate sac emptying.

 

• Can you feed this supplement long term to support the gut without feeding a probiotic alongside? 

Probiotics can be useful alongside Digestion to begin with, if there is a history of bowel flora damage caused by exposure to antibiotics, or toxins for example. Where this doesn't apply, or friendly bowel bacteria levels have been sufficiently boosted (by using Bio-Kult, for example), Digestion alone is usually sufficient, 

 

• My dog is raw fed and is eating grass. He's eating fine, the occasional soft stool (but very rare). Should I give him Digestion? 

Excessive grass eating has many possible causes. The first step when this is the case, is to improve digestion and add a concentrated source of natural, biologically active micronutrients to make sure there aren't any nutritional deficiencies behind this. You can do this by adding Digestion to the diet, and then 2 weeks later Vitality. Be sure to add just a little of these to begin within and then increase gradually over a week or two, until giving the suggested amount. You may also find this blog of interest. 

 

• My dog is post diagnosis for Typical Addisons. She is raw fed. Would this be beneficial or should I maybe use a probiotic?

Digestion helps all dogs on a raw diet to extract as much nourishment as possible from their food. It also encourages the growth of a strong, healthy gut microbiome. If you want to boost the level of beneficial bowel bacteria, give Bio-Kult alongside Digestion.  

 

• Is this product good for dogs with delicate tummies and loose stools?

• Is there a best time to add pre and pro biotics to my dog's meal times i.e. morning or evening and can they both be added together in the one meal?

They are best added together, and it doesn't matter what time of day this is.

 

• Would this be suitable for a dog who is starting a course of antibiotics?

• My dog is less than 5kgs. How much of this supplement should I give?

As this is is a nutritional supplement the suggested amounts are approximate and are based on approximately 1 teaspoon per 10kg bodyweight daily divided between meals. This can then be adjusted accordingly to suit each individual pet based on their response. Specifying a specific number of grams does not fit into this framework.  

 

• Can I give all Vince the Vet Supplements with meals together?

All supplements can be given together in wet food, plain live yoghurt or something similar. We recommend however, introducing one at a time at 2 week intervals to allow the digestive tract to adapt at a comfortable pace to the change of diet.
