Proper Handling of Raw Food

Many pet owners choose to feed their pets raw food due to its countless health benefits. Amongst several other benefits, raw food diets help improve digestion, reduce allergies, and promote overall health and well-being. It is important for raw food to be handled properly to avoid contamination or food borne illnesses when handling raw meat. Simply put, raw meals should be handled as you would handle meats for human consumption.

Safety Tips

  • Keep all raw meals frozen until its time to use them
  • Defrost meals in the refrigerator
