• My dog  has cancer and is getting lots of little lumps appear all over his body. Would this product help?

Immunity is the supplement of first choice whenever any kind of growths appear in the body, as it provides invaluable support to the immune system and helps maintain quality of life for as long as possible - as in Lexi's case.

 

Lots of warts and lumps is a sure sign the immune system is struggling to protect the body as it should. Adding Immunity to the diet each day is a powerful way to support the body's immune cells and natural defences. 

 

In these circumstances it is best to give half the suggested amount daily, divided between meals for the first 7 days. If the stools remain formed and health otherwise good, this can be increased to the full amount in week 2. Then, if the stools remain formed and health otherwise good, give double the quantity going forward for maximum health benefits.

 

• Does Immunity supplement suffice for nutrients to balance raw food? 

If you add Vitality and Immunity to the raw you are feeding, you will be providing all the vitamins, minerals and trace elements necessary for a complete, balanced diet, and can dispense with any other supplements. 

 

• Would immunity powder help with stud tail?

If the cause is due to an elevated androgen (male hormone) level in the blood, or increase in size of the tail gland (hyperplasia) then supplementation with Immunity or anything is unlikely to help.  If an infection is the reason, Immunity can help the body cope successfully with the microbes involved. If this is the case, we would also advise a trip to the vet to have a medicated wash prescribed to apply to the affected area and / or antibiotics if the deeper layers of skin are affected.    

 

• My dog has multiple allergies. Would this product help?

If given for long enough (3 months plus), Immunity supports the development of a more balanced and less reactive immune system. And for many dogs, this results in a less itchy and inflamed skin. 

 

• Would this be any good for my dog who gets integral cysts quite often?

Yes, Immunity given for long enough (3 - 6 months or more) supports the body's natural protective and self-repair mechanisms. And an overreactive or disrupted immune system is often a factor when interdigital cysts are a recurrent problem. 

 

• My dog is going to have surgery to remove a skin growth/lymphoma. Could you advise if or when to stop Immunity and Vitality before surgery?

• I have a dog with leishmania who is treated with allurpurinol. Would the immunity be safe?

Immunity supports the development of a strong, healthy immune system which is better able to cope successfully with exposure to a wide range of pathogenic microbes, and as such is beneficial to use in such circumstances. 

 

• Is this suitable for use with a dog suffering auto-immune conditions? 

Immunity supports the development of a more balanced and less reactive immune system, which is better able to cope successfully with exposure to potentially pathogenic microbes and allergens. As such it is often beneficial in circumstances like this. The best approach is to start with half the suggested daily quantity and then, if health remains good and there are no untoward effects over the course of a month, it can be increased to the full amount.

 

• How long will it take to get rid of the wart on my dog's back

Immunity helps the immune system keep the growth of warts and tumours in check, it does not necessarily cause them to disappear. This supplement typically reaches peak effect after 3 - 6 months. 

 

• I have a dog who has chronic rhinitis and suffers with itchy feet and hot spots on her rear body. Do you think your immunity supplement can help her?

The best supplement to try first in circumstances like this is PEA as this has natural anti-inflammatory properties, which in a clinical veterinary study has been shown to significantly reduce itching in 2 out of 3 atopic dogs reacting to environmental allergens. Giving Insect plus Itch relief is also beneficial to help ease skin irritation while waiting for PEA to reach peak effect, which can take up to 12 weeks for some dogs.

 

• My dog has just been diagnosed with a nasal Chondrosarcoma. Should I give an increased dose of this product? 

Ideally when cancer has been diagnosed, Immunity should be gradually increased until giving double the usual amount suggested on the label. It is also worth adding Vitality to the diet, as the ingredients in this supplement have been shown to increase the anti-tumour activity of white blood cells. A good source of omega 3 is also beneficial. If you're not already feeding a raw or home-cooked diet, do consider this too at some stage, as many of the components in processed pet food (kibble and wet) can contribute to the growth of cancerous cells.
